SCRIPT formed to improve St Clair streetcar transit

The youngest and most photogenic local residentAn energizing founding meeting of SCRIPT took place Wednesday, January 21st at the JJ Piccininni Community Centre. It brought together mostly local residents who support right-of-way options for improving transit and the quality of life in and around neighbourhoods linked together by St Clair Avenue.

A position statement was generated that aims to capture the shared sense of pride in our neighbourhoods and vision for improving local streetcar transit and the streetscape. The final statement can be found here.

Several committees were established to advocate for right-of-way options to improve streetcar transit. Ideas were generated on how to meet unmet needs, including improved information on the EA process and opportunities to participate.

Several exciting ideas were brought up for future community events. All we can say now is stay tuned for some great ideas that are being worked on...

Attendees share their ideas with moderators Jen and David (standing)
